  1. This is the First collection of Pagestream Fonts, disks 1 to 5 make up
  2. the first "Theme Pack", and disks 6 to 10 the second.

  4. Each pack costs only £10.99 (Members £9.99) or you may purchase the disks
  5. individually.

  9.  
  10. Albatross       Albatross is a text body font with a moderately short x-height
  11.                 The relative point size is a bit small (i.e. 14 point is
  12.                 closer to what most people would consider 12 point). It
  13.                 contains all the regular characters and many special
  14.                 characters.
  15.  
  16. Architect       Architect is a font that I whipped out one weekend (version
  17.                 1.0). It simulates hand printing of the type typically done by
  18.                 architects. It was inspired by Adobe's font Tekton. It has a
  19.                 full set of letters, numbers, and punctuation, and quite a few
  20.                 extra characters.
  21.  
  22. BodidlyBold     This font was archived with no documentation specific to the
  23.                 font.
  24.  
  25. Crillee         This font was archived with no documentation.
  26.  
  27. Eire            This font was archived with no documentation.
  28.  
  29. Genoa           A Type 1 font basically similar to the Venice font that came
  30.                 with the Mac OS. Since Genoa is a display font, it is
  31.                 generally not acceptable for body text. This font includes
  32.                 both Roman and Italic faces.

  35. Muriel          This font was archived with no documentation specific to the
  36.                 font.
  37.  
  38. Showboat        Showboat is a Type 1 PostScript font in an old nineteenth
  39.                 century marque style. It contains all 26 capital letters,
  40.                 plus rudimentary punctuation.
  41.  
  42. Sydney          This font was archived with no documentation.
  43.  
  44. UpperEastSide   Upper East Side is a Type 1 PostScript font in an art deco
  45.                 style that works well in both text and display applications.
  46.                 It contains a full set of characters, including diacritics,
  47.                 and has 477 kerning pairs.It resembles a well-known display
  48.                 font called Parisian.

  53. AmbrosiaCap     Upper and small caps letters, tall, btroad and classical
  54.                 looking.
  55.  
  56. Arctic          Upper/lower case with some punctuation. Wide letters with
  57.                 broad swashes.
  58.  
  59. Ashley          Font that mimics a sophisticated print handwriting. It's
  60.                 wonderful for adding realistic annotations to documents, or
  61.                 making handwritten memos.
  62.  
  63. CarawayBold     The handwriting I always wanted but could never come close to.
  64.                 An all-purpose font, Caraway Bold even looks good when
  65.                 italicized!
  66.  
  67. CarrickCaps     Contains all 26 capital letters. The I and the J, however,
  68.                 look exactly alike. The letters are drawn in black in a gothic
  69.                 style, on top of a stained-glass window kindof pattern.
  70.  
  71. EddaCaps        Slightly tilted, slightly old Eire-appearing Caps letter.
  72.  
  73. GoudyMedieval   Similar to Goudy, this version has full upper/lower case and
  74.                 punctuation. Nice medieval/classic runes as well.

  76. Harquil         Upper/lower case letters and punctuation. Letters have a
  77.                 Hebrew rune look!
  78.  
  79. Harrington      Version 1.1. Upper/lower case font; rounded letters with
  80.                 descenders.
  81.  
  82. IsadoraCaps     All caps font; 20-30's style, very rounded letters.
  83.  
  84. Judas           Thin letters based on Adobe's wood font. Caps, numbers and
  85.                 special characters.
  86.  
  87. Kastellar       A Type 1 display typeface in uppercase characters only (no
  88.                 lowercase or numerals), based on Castellar. It is a very
  89.                 elegant openface-styled design.
  90.  
  91. LibbyScript     Version 1.1. Upper/lower case letters of hand-cursive style.
  92.                
  93.  
  94. LoopDeLoop      A fun display font. Its uppercase characters are based on the
  95.                 font Bee Line. They have a stroked effect simulating a
  96.                 continuous line, looped to create each character. The
  97.                 lowercase characters are a solid variation on the shape of
  98.                 the uppercase. This set contains only about sixty characters.
  99.                 There is minimal kerning. Looks nice as an opening decorative
  100.                 capital.
  101.  
  102. Mira            Upper/lowercase Gaelic-like font; thick horizontal and thin
  103.                 vertical lines.
  104.  
  105. Nordic          Thin upper/lowercase letters with many diagonals.
  106.  
  107. SchwarzWald     An extremely bold and striking font, resembling the letters of
  108.                 a German woodcut.
  109.  
  110. Silicon         Block letters resembling a mix of Chicago and Venice.
  111.  
  112. Thalia          Upper/lowercase thick Old-English letters.

  117. Cartwright      This font was inspired by the Adobe wood type Ponderosa font.
  118.                 It contains only the basic 90+ characters.
  119.  
  120. Dragonwick      Type 1 font of wide, script letters with very detailed swashes
  121.                 
  122. IglooLaser      Helvetica Narrow type letters covered in snow. Uppercase.
  123.  
  124. KarKode         Type 1 font with letters replaced with the ascii numbers
  125.                 associated with the character.
  126.  
  127. LeftyCasual     A hand cursive style font.
  128.  
  129. Manzanita       This is a font with a Victorian wood type feel.
  130.  
  131. MazamaPlain     Mazama is a display typeface based on M.G.B. Patrician. This
  132.                 font has uppercase characters, numerals, and punctuation only.
  133.                 There are numerous alternate swash characters for most of the
  134.                 characters (several characters have two alternates).This font
  135.                 includes many alternate swash capitals, and since there is no
  136.                 lowercase character set, I used the lowercase equivalent for
  137.                 alternates.

  139. OswaldBlack     Letters slightly resembling Adobe's Bodoni
  140.  
  141. ParisMetro      This is modeled on the font used on some of the old Art
  142.                 Nouveau Metro stations in Paris. It is also a rather black
  143.                 font. In this font is a full set of upper-case characters --
  144.                 no lower-case characters -- as well as full punctuation and
  145.                 numbers.
  146.  
  147. Tribeca         This font contains a full character, number and punctuation
  148.                 character set. There are no diacritical characters. It is
  149.                 modeled on 'Newton Inline,' an Art Deco font used fairly often
  150.                 for titles on paperback editions of mysteries. It is also
  151.                 extensively kerned.
  152.  
  153. Upsilon         A type 1 block Venice font.
  154.  
  155. ZaleskiCaps     This font is modeled on an Art Deco typeface called Ashley
  156.                 Crawford. It is bold and brash and serifed. Numbers and
  157.                 punctuation are also in the font.

  161. ------------------------------
  162. BlackChancery   Black Chancery is a calligraphic Type 1 PostScript font based
  163.                 on the public domain bitmap font of the same name. It's a good
  164.                 looking and useful display font, lending itself well to many
  165.                 occasions. Version of 1/22/91.
  166.  
  167. Bubble          A Type 1 font suggestive of bubbles!!
  168.  
  169. GraphicLight    A Type 1 font with a small x-height.
  170.  
  171. HorstCaps       Is an Art Nouveau style font and consists of a set of script
  172.                 capital letters with fairly substantial curly-Q's. The font
  173.                 lacks I, X and Y.
  174.  
  175. International   This is a dingbats-style font. It is FreeWare.
  176.  
  177. ReliefDeco      This is a caps and numbers font, no punctuation; lower-case
  178.                 letters are identical to upper-case letters. It is generously
  179.                 kerned. The letter images are of a heavy slab serif typeface,
  180.                 but of the shadows only, making it a "kind of cool" (sic)
  181.                 display font, unsuitable for text applications, and not so 
  182.                 good looking below 18 points.
  183.  
  184. Slant           A Type 1 font displaying a "chisled" finish.
  185. TempoFont.      Contains a full upper- and lower-case alphabet in a serif font
  186.                 as well as a few dozen music-specific symbols; TempoFontItalic
  187.                 contains an italic version of the same font, with the music
  188.                 symbols not italicized. Both regular and Italic versions are
  189.                 provided.

  194. AndesitePlain   is a beautiful Type 1 display typeface based on Letraset's
  195.                 PLAZA (formerly PLAYBOY). This font has uppercase characters,
  196.                 numerals, punctuation, and accent marks only. There are
  197.                 numerous alternate swash characters for most of the characters
  198.                 (several characters have two alternates).
  199.  
  200. BlackForest     Is a font designed without any curves. With one or two
  201.                 exceptions all angles are multiples of 45 degrees. BlackForest
  202.                 has an old world German feel. It seems to look best about 24
  203.                 points.
  204.  
  205. NewBold         A simple bold font with rounded edges.
  206.  
  207. OSWALDblack     A Type 1 font that slightly resemble Adobe's Bodoni.
  208.  
  209. Polo-SemiScript is a display brushstroke font with plenty of swashes. It makes
  210.                 a good specialty font for advertisements when an informal feel
  211.                 is desired.
  212.  
  213. RhyoliteVertical (based on Huxley Vertical) is a Type 1 display typeface in
  214.                 uppercase characters, numerals, and punctuation only.There are
  215.                 alternate characters for the letters A, K, M, N, W, and Y, and
  216.                 they can be found using their lowercase equivalents. It is a
  217.                 display face that looks elegant and distinguished.
  218.  
  219. Rudelsberg      This is a Type 1 font in the Art Nouveau vein (turn of the
  220.                 century Germany in this case) and may be thought of as a 
  221.                 second cousin to Adobe's Arnold Boecklin font, in that the 
  222.                 lower case letters are a littl similar, although the upper 
  223.                 case characters lack the swashes of Adobe's font. Rudelsberg
  224.                 contains the full set of upper- and lower-case characters,
  225.                 numbers, and some punctuation, but no diacritics. It contains 
  226.                 a generous set of kerning pairs, as well.
  227.  
  228. Sharktooth      Version 2.00. Black slightly slanted letters with jagged edges
  229.                 accented with white stripes.
  230.  
  231. VarahCaps       An ornate font of large black letters on what appears to be a
  232.                 background of stained glass.
  233.  
  234. WindsorDemi     A Type 1 font based on the popular Windsor typeface. There is
  235.                 no accompanying documentation.

  247. Deusex          A plain sans-serif Type 1 PostScript font.
  248.  
  249. Hamburg         A fine-line font.
  250.  
  251. IBMKlone        This is a postscript font designed to display the IBM PC font.
  252.                 
  253. Kathlita        This is a typeface that was designed specifically for use in
  254.                 creating newsletters. It is an unusual typeface that appears
  255.                 very formal in larger sizes, but informal and highly legible
  256.                 in smaller sizes.
  257.  
  258. LeeCaps         A somewhat 3-dimensional font which contains all 26 capital
  259.                 letters, numbers, and punctuation.
  260.  
  261. MemphisDisplay  This is a very fanciful, uppercase only font.
  262.  
  263. Mortbats        This font contains an assortment of creepy symbols, (skulls,
  264.                 snakes), religious symbols (crosses, Yin-Yang), astrological,
  265.                 I Ching and rune symbols.
  266.  
  267. Shpfltnat       This musical font was originally created to have nice-looking
  268.                 sharps, flats, and naturals.

  296. AliceInWonderland A piece of black and white clip art converted from the
  297.                 original gif format.
  298.  
  299. Cardiff         An ornate metallic font.
  300.  
  301. DominoEffect    This font contains 27 characters: the 26 capital letters and
  302.                 the space. Each character looks like a domino with letters
  303.                 carved out of it, rather than numbers.
  304.  
  305. Dubiel          Dubiel and DubielItalic are Adobe Type 1, PostScript fonts
  306.                 modeled on the fonts Torino and Torino Italic.They are similar
  307.                 to a condensed Bodoni, except with lighter strokes. They work
  308.                 well both as text and display fonts.
  309.  
  310. Elwood          This Type 1 font is CAPS ONLY with no numbers and appears as a
  311.                 decorative hand-drawn outline font.
  312.  
  313. PigNoseTyp      An austere all-caps san-serif font.
  314.  
  315. Rothman         Rothman is an Art Deco PostScript font containing all
  316.                 alphabetic and numeric characters and punctuation.
  317.  
  318. Xochiquetzal    A piece of black & white clip art converted from the original
  319.                 gif format. Xochiquetzal was the Mayan god of fertility and
  320.                 love. According to some authorities she was the mother of the
  321.                 'first celestial twins', Quetzalcoatl and Xolotl; others hold
  322.                 that she was the spouse of Tlaloc or Xochipilli, the 'prince
  323.                 of flowers'.

  328. CracklingFire   Is an all-caps font, plus period, comma, exclamation point and
  329.                 question mark.It looks like Dom Casual letters beginning to go
  330.                 up in flames.

  332. GothicShadow    A sans serif shadowed font.

  334. Middleton       Middleton was created using Fontographer 3.1 and is a hinted
  335.                 Type 1 font based on Florentine, a display face created by
  336.                 R. Hunter Middleton.

  338. Orbit           A modern decorative font.
  339.  
  340. PremiumThin     Version 2.1.1. PREMIUM THIN is a beautiful Type 1 display
  341.                 typeface based on Letraset's Premier Lightline. This font has
  342.                 uppercase and lowercase characters, numerals, and punctuation.
  343.                 This font is fully hinted with over 600 kerning pairs defined.
  344.                
  345. Psychedelic     A sixties/psychedelic style font.
  346.  
  347. Searchlight     This is the uppercase portion of the Searchlight font. This
  348.                 file is free to use as you see fit.Searchlight is very similar
  349.                 to Empire, a popular art deco typeface that is (to the best of
  350.                 my knowledge) not currently available as a PostScript font.
  351.                 Even without the lowercase it is a useful typeface.

  353. Smoke           A sixties style shadowed font.
  354.  
  355. Steelplate      A sharply defined sans serif font.
  356.  
  357. Tintoretto      A decorative display font.

  362. Aarcover        This is an all caps Type 1 PostScript font, plus numbers and
  363.                 punctuation, whose characters look like they've been
  364.                 electrified or hit with a static, albeit limp, charge.
  365.                 
  366. BrightonBold    A plain serif font.
  367.                 
  368. Caveman         A neanderthal Type 1 font.
  369.                
  370. Draftsman       Another Type 1 font of simulated neat handwriting.
  371.                 
  372. Frontier        A western-style font.
  373.                
  374. HotDog          A fancy font in the style of Hotdog stand signs.Type one upper
  375.                 case/numbers font of puffy, rounded white letters with a black
  376.                 outline. Reminiscent of Adobe's VAG Rounded.
  377.                 
  378. LiquidCrystal   This is NOT a very useful type one font (the letters are
  379.                 difficult to figure out). LiquidCrystal is a Type 1 PostScript
  380.                 font that duplicates the classic 7-segment digits that appear
  381.                 in a liquid crystal display (LCD). Some characters work well
  382.                 with this format, it was made for numerals. This font includes
  383.                 letters even though a little imagination and/or contextual
  384.                 clues may be required to recognize some of them.
  385.                 
  386. Logger          This a Type 1 PostScript font shaped like logs. There are
  387.                 capital letters and punctuation only.
  388.  
  389. Lower East Side is a Type 1 PostScript font modeled on an Art Deco typeface
  390.                 called Astur.It looks like bold, 3-D brush strokes forming the
  391.                 characters with deep shadows it also tends to look like bent
  392.                 pieces of plywood with shadows. It is kerned, and ought to be
  393.                 used for display text only at sizes 72 points and larger.             
  394.  
  395. Medusa          This font is based on the familiar Art Nouveau font Broklin.
  396.                 It's a display font that looks great at 12 points or larger.
  397.                 About 170 characters and 100 kerning pairs are defined.
  398.                
  399. Qubist          A fancy font with a 3-dimensional cut-out look.

  402. 3D HELPER
  403. ---------
  404. This disk is just what you need if you are starting out with
  405. 3D graphics. In the Refractions drawer are refractive indexes
  406. for everything from C02 to Lapus Lazu for use with Turbo Silver.

  408. In the Convert drawer you'll be able to convert Sculpt 3D to 
  409. VideoScape 3D, QRT files to Sculpt format, and Videoscape and 
  410. Sculpt files to Turbo Silver format. You'll also be able to turn
  411. IFF pictures into Sculpt and VideoScape objects.

  413. You'll also find a short article on hidden features in Sculpt, and
  414. utilities to convert fonts into objects, and trace shapes from IFF
  415. pictures.
